Costa Rica - Day 3
It was time for another adventure in Costa Rica today. I had booked a tour at the Mistico Hanging Bridge Park. Today I had decided to use a tour guide, and I am sure happy that I did. You arrive at the park for your time and they have multiple groups and they will split you up. We were a group of about 8 of us. Which was nice since I don't love big group tours.
There are 16 bridges in total and 6 of them are hanging and it is 3.2 km. Here is the twist for me... I am terrified of heights! But sometimes you have to do things that scare you so you can see some of the coolest places. One thing to know about me is that I value experiences and good food, way more then things.
On this hike you walk through a lot of rainforest, but it is all paved and a very easy hike, aside from the bridges.
The forest canopy was gorgeous.
Proof I went over the bridges.
The great part of having a guide is they find the things you would never find on your own, they know where to look and will talk to other's to find the hidden stuff for you. The fist thing we found were these bees and this white tube they actually made to get to their nest.
More forest views.
Our guide also found this guy for us.
He also found us this eyelash pit viper snake... he is dangerous, but rarely fatal.
But the best part of this were the monkey's.
They started chasing this one and their howling was so loud.
Apparently this was a very rare event. So very lucky!
I highly recommend this if you are in the area, and the guide is a must to me.
Once I was done, I headed back to the Open Kitchen for another green goddess bowl. Like I said it was so good.
I then went back to the resort where I enjoyed the hot springs. Except while I was there I got a call that there was a shake up at work and several people got laid off and I was getting a new boss. This worked out well for me, I got a new boss and he was amazing, it really turned my reflection around. I didn't have to try and figure out what I was going to do, they had decided for me. I was sorry to hear about those who were laid off. I never like to hear of people losing their jobs.
I went into town for a nice dinner, but I didn't take any pictures and then I spent more time in the thermal spa.
