April 2026 Transatlantic - Day 5
Happy Easter!
Last night we had our first of 7 time changes, we go forward 6 times and back one. I slept until what was known as 8am and figured I better get my butt moving since it was now 9am and I had some other things I wanted to do this morning. I started with a quick trip to the gym, but forgot my headphones, so I didn't work out for long. They also have bottle filling stations in the gym in case you are looking for one.

And pretty good showers if you don't want to use the one in your cabin, these are open to everyone.
INSERT
After I freshened up we headed down to the International Cafe for breakfast, I love these egg bites.
INSERT
We hung around in O'Malley's (they have very comfy chairs) and played cards until it was time for silent trivia, which really just means that they hand you a paper with all the questions on them.
INSERT
We had decided that we were not doing so good, so we weren't going to hand in our papers and started checking the answers on the phone. The gentleman across from us started to scold us, but when we assured him we wouldn't be handing in our paper he calmed down. We did get better than 50%, but still not great. I am just way better at music trivia.
After I won our card game we went to go to the photography workshop, it was advertised as a walk around, but instead she was just showing iPhone basics, so we didn't stick around for long.
INSERT
I headed out back on deck 7 to get a little vitamin D, since the sun is shining and it is beautiful outside. Also, can't believe this is the first wake photo I have taken.
INSERT
Then off to craft time, but we got there early and they were doing the Veterans get together and it was really beautiful listening to some of the stories they were sharing. Thank you for your service.
Today's craft was quilling, but it is really not a craft you can finish in 45 minutes.
INSERT
Finally was tea time, it was not advertised in the app or on the patter, but did happen every sea day at 3pm
INSERT
The water is so calm.
INSERT
We went to the MDR for our standard time, and ended up with the same couple for the 3rd night in a row, so... we just decided we are going to eat together each night, and will just meet outside the dining room before going in, since they didn't want to block a table for us, since we were still willing to share with others.
Tonight's menu has a couple of my favourites... twice baked goat cheese soufflé, I could eat this all the time!
INSERT
My main was scallops with a Burre Blanc sauce
INSERT
I ducked out really quick as it looked like we were actually going to have a sunset tonight.
INSERT
Dessert was another favourite, the no sugar added coconut cake, it is so good!
INSERT
Tonight was my favourite game show, Yes or No... and of course it was standing room only.
INSERT
It was also our first experience with our CD Andi, he is pretty funny, he only got beat twice.
Then we lost 45 minutes of our lives that we are never going to get back from the theatre show. It was Encore and it was not our type of show at all, a lot of it was sung in Italian and it really didn't need to, I couldn't wait for it to be over, and we were stuck in the middle and couldn't leave.
INSERT
The costumes and dancing were both beautiful, the shows just need an update.
They have converted the Double Down bar into the smoking casino, and they do have a lot of the good machines in there, I did sneak a couple pictures.
INSERT
And the main casino is fully non smoking now, there is a bit of lingering smell, but not bad.
